We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

• Account data: your email address, used to create and manage your account.
• Payment data: billing is handled entirely by Stripe. EcoSentry does not store card numbers or payment credentials.
• Usage data: site coordinates you search, report counts, and audit queries. This data is used to operate the service and is not sold or shared with third parties.
• Technical data: standard server logs including IP address and browser type, retained for security purposes.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the EcoSentry service
• To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (account creation, subscription confirmation)
• To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (Stripe for payments, Supabase for database hosting, Vercel for infrastructure).

4. Data retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing ecosentry@icloud.com.

5. Cookies

EcoSentry uses session cookies necessary for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your rights

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers.
